Dear Wahyanites,

As you know, after Father Deignan’s retirement from his office as our principal, he has been devoting a substantial amount of his time with the Hong Kong International Institute of Educational Leadership (the “HKIIEL”), a non-profit organisation founded by him and dedicated to the promotion and development of basic human values, such as honesty, compassion, respect, self-discipline, tolerant, sense of responsibility, etc.  (http://www.hkiiel.org.hk/). This is like promoting our Wah Yan Spirit to the outside world.

In the last 15 years, the HKIIEL has been organising certificate programmes, parents’ courses, staff development programmes for schools, international and regional conferences and values-based seminars.  It also organises bioethics seminars catered to nurses, physicians, hospital chaplains, and medical staff, and ethics conferences for corporate individuals.

In order to increase its influence in the education community, the HKIIEL is publishing a book containing all the important essays on value education written by leading experts like Father Deignan and Father Coghlan. Complimentary copies of the book would be sent to the school principals of all secondary schools in Hong Kong, as well as the libraries of all universities. Soft copy of the book will also be uploaded on the website of HKIIEL for the general public.

Since inception, the HKIIEL has been counting on donations, membership fees and course tuitions to cover expenses. It strives to manage its modest asset in a prudent manner, keeping the running costs to a minimum while reserving resources for purposeful projects. If you share the mission of HKIIEL, we should be grateful if you could consider sponsoring HK$3,000 to become its partners along this meaningful journey. Donation to the HKIIEL is tax-deductible in Hong Kong, and we will gladly furnish you with a donation receipt documenting the total contribution amount.

Please kindly send your crossed cheque made payable to “Hong Kong International Institute of Educational Leadership” to Unit 1001, 10/F., Wofoo Commercial Building, 574-576 Nathan Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong. If you have any question, please feel free to call the chief administrator Sharon at 2384 1056.

Your generosity serves to enhance awareness of basic human values, facilitating personal growth.  Please join us in making a difference to not only our future, but also the future of many generations to come.

Thank you very much in advance!
